Winnie the Pooh Baby Shower

The popular Shower idea is having a lot of light pastel green and yellow balloons at your entrance and make a sign that read, "Welcome to our Pooh-rrific baby shower for [Baby's Name]!".

Prepare plain tablecloths of coordinating colors in yellow, lime green and light blue for the guest tables. And use yellow and blue streamers for a green table, and so on for the guests tables with yellow or blue tablecloths.

Use everything from your house that have Pooh on it to add to the decoration - even your Winnie the Pooh sneakers!

The easiest centerpiece is to place a giant Pooh at the center of your gift table and tie a balloon bouquet to it. Another idea is to use a Pooh lamp as your centerpiece - the new mom can take it home with her as a gift from you!

If you want more fun, how about making 'hunny' pots?

You will need:

  • Small to medium sized terra cotta pots
  • Golden yellow paint
  • A black paint pen
  • A foam paint brush
  • Plain cellophane treat bags
  • Raffia
  • "Rumbly Grahams" graham cracker snacks

Paint pots in golden yellow completely and write on front "HUNNY" (this is how Pooh spells it). Then fill bag with graham cracker snacks, tie with raffia and place in pot and finish. Then play soft lullaby music or some fun pooh songs!

Make A Wonderful Classic Pooh Cake

Pooh Cake PanA timeless classic pooh Shower idea is to make a pooh cake on your own. It's quite easy and full of fun!

Make or buy a 8 inch cake and some cupcakes(bake them in the oven and let them cool). When the cupcakes cooled, take 4 of them and cut their tops off. And prepare some food coloring of yellow and brown.

  1. Frost the 8 inch cake with some of the yellow frosting.
  2. Place 2 of the cupcake tops where you want the eyes to be, frost them with the brown frosting.
  3. Put one of the cupcake bottoms where you want the nose to be, frost only the top part with brown frosting, and the sides with yellow frosting.
  4. Take the other 2 cupcake tops and put them at the top of the head - where you want the ears to be. Frost the "ears" with yellow frosting (depending on the height of your cake, you may need to leave part of the bottom on the cupcake.)
  5. Use some of the brown frosting to make Pooh's mouth. And there you have a Pooh cake looks great! I'm hungry for something sweet, :-)

Wow, look at this super cute baby Pooh cupcake holder...what's the next? A super cute Pooh Cake in no minutes!

Winnie the Pooh Baby Shower

"My brother and his wife are having a baby a few weeks before my wedding. We are planning a baby shower for them.

They are painting the baby room to be painted in the old school pooh colors, seeing as how it is a secret as to whether they are having a boy or a girl.

They colors they are going with are the light green and yellow. We will use the same color theme and play pin the tail on the donkey (Eeyore).

We are looking forward to having a great Winnie the Pooh party - or a forest theme and have many treats made of honey!"
