One of my favorites is having rainbow colored balloons tied to baby lotion or oil, diaper powder for a balloon centerpiece. You can also decorate your baby shower with white linens and using a lot of diaper decoartions.
Anothe oh-so-cute idea is having Teddy bears placed around the room with diapers on them, and use balloons and streamers in the same rainbow colors. Or decorated with signature balloons and stuffed animal sitting in a little chair with balloons tied to the chair.

What If You Need An Extra-special Touch, Try Something Different Than Balloon Centerpieces...
You could attach bunches of theme color balloons to the doorways, the front door, the mailbox, even the mom-to-be's chair. And tie the balloons with colorful ribbons to tie together.
The helium balloons should be filled for the day of the Shower. Then make a huge balloon arch by attaching helium balloons to a long peice of ribbon and anchoring each end to the floor.
For a Noah's Ark themed party: make an arch of pastel colored balloons into a large rainbow hung over the back of the gift table.
If you're planning a costume party, you can go really wild by asking everyone to show up pregnant by attaching giant balloons underneath their shirts or dresses!
And if you decided to invite kids to your party, make sure to have enough activities to keep them busy.

1) Pig Toss - The little guests try to keep a pink balloon (with a pig drawn on it) in the air.
2) Pig Races - Everyone draws a pig face on a pink balloon, then they race to get the balloons across the floor with flyswatters.
