Welcome to the 4th issue of the "5 Themes That Ensure a Memorable Baby Shower" mini e-Course!

Today, I'm going to give you some special ideas of "Nursery Rhymes" Theme.

Many people love this kind of shower. You can encourage guests to bring books as gifts, although snowshakers, ceramic figures, linen and baby clothes decorated with popular characters from rhymes.

And fairy tales are also a good choice.

Invitation
Pick up a book and revisit those nursery rhymes, find one you like and use it as an inspiration for your invitations, decorations, games and even appetizers! For example, do you remember Hey diddle diddle?

"Hey diddle diddle, the cat and the fiddle,
The cow jumped over the moon.
The little dog laughed to see such fun
And the dish ran away with the spoon!"

Incorporate this charming rhyme into your theme by sending out invitations with a cow jumping over the moon. Or include the nursery rhyme on the interior of the card to trigger many a happy memory for your invited guests.

Decoration
Decorate the wall with paper cutouts of popular nursery rhyme figures. Or hang a stuffed animal cow from the ceiling with a moon cut-out hanging just below the cow.

Food
Serve a cake decorated with a fiddling' cat.

Game
Musical Bottle Race: This game is just like Musical Chairs...but with a slight twist! Play Nursery Rhymes or Lullabies, and instead of walking around chairs, guests sit while three baby bottles filled with beverages are passed around the circle. You don't want to get caught with the bottle when the music stops because you'll be participating in a drinking race! If you lose the drinking race, you're out of the game. The last guest left in the game, wins! Add an element of surprise to this game by sealing the nipple of one of the bottles. You can do this by over boiling the nipple on the stove. Get your camera out for the person drinking from the sealed nipple!

Nursery Rhymes Guestbook: This is a fun way to keep a guestbook - have guests autograph the inside cover of a Nursery Rhymes StoryBook. It's a wonderful memory for Mom and Dad, and Baby will enjoy the stories!

Favor
Present a small pot of ivy to each of your departing guests

Ok, that's all for today, I hope this installment has given it's value to you and help you start thinking about where and how you want to go with your Shower planning. Your next installment will arrive tomorrow.
