Do you like making scrapbook? Sheryl Mulkey emailed us her story about how to get guys involving into the scrapbook making during her last coed shower.
Here are my personal experiences making scrapbook and a few other ideas from my last coed baby shower.
We do not have the traditional parties. Every party includes everyone from men, children, dogs, and of course the all mighty women. Once we get there no matter what the occasion, we separate children in one room or outside along with the men and the women. The guys are trying to sneak in and find out if we are talking about them.
Therefore the last shower we had the men participate in all the usual game like taking a string and guessing who can come close to the measurement of the mom-to-be and so on. I then brought out about twenty of the small scrapping books along with every kind of supply I could think of to get the men involved.
Footballs, baseballs, basketball, along with all the cute baby items like booties and bibs and all sorts of sicks and ribbons.
We then advised the men we were having a MEN VS WOMEN baby shower scrapbook contest. Of course now they were very interested.
The object was to come up with the best scrapbook pages. Well the trick of it all was the women were not really going to participate. We just wanted to see what the men would come up with. They went through about six or seven scrapbooks separately before they started actually putting their ideas together.
The outcome was great!
My girlfriend loved the scrapping pages the men came up with and we took all the pictures from the shower and used the pages they decorated. The mom-to-be said it was the best baby scrapbook she had ever seen hand made and given at a Shower.
