Baby Shower Games For Men

Baby Shower Games for Men

Baby shower games for men? Once upon a time, baby showers were only for women. Today, guys are getting invites, too. If your guest list includes guys, you don't want to leave them out of the party. While it might seem challenging, you can find plenty of creative games for men. You might even be surprised by how popular those same games are with the female guests, too.

Mommy & Daddy Games

Who Knows Mommy? Who Knows Daddy? One of the reasons co-ed baby shower games are needed is that more dads-to-be are participating in the events, and they want to bring along some of their friends. With both parents at the shower, games involving both of them can be a great way to keep them entertained while also meeting the needs of guests from both genders.

A great example of baby shower games for men is Who Knows Mommy? Who Knows Daddy? Guests receive a sheet of trivia questions about the parents (one set of questions for the mom and another for the dad).

Then guests compete to see who knows the future parents the best. To make things fair, divide up the guests into those who know the mom best and the dad best then you’ll end up with a winner from each group.

Another idea, the Finish Parent ’s Phrase game can be enjoyed by any guest. With the game, guests receive a sheet of partial phrases. The mom-to-be and dad-to-be get the same sheets and they have to complete the phrases by adding in words. The guests compete by completing the phrases the way they think the new parents will complete them. You could have guests complete both the Mommy and the Daddy phrases or ask the male guests to complete the sheets for the future mom and vice versa.

Baby’s Beautiful Reflection is another one of those fun baby shower games for men. Each game sheet includes lists of traits, such as ears and athleticism. The guests of honor go through the list and decide which traits they want the baby to receive from each of them. For example, they may want the baby to have the mom’s ears. Guests receive the sheets, too, and must try to guess what the parents will say. The results can be hilarious!

Games Guys Will Love

Guys & DollsMaking the shower friendly for both sexes is an important job for the host. That’s why incorporating some of these baby shower games for men is a good idea. The Guys & Dolls game is a favorite of men because it lets them show off what they know, especially if you only use the Dolls game sheet.

The sheet includes questions designed for a male audience, such as "What is an Allen Wrench?" The women can team up and try to answer the questions. You can either have both men and women answer the Dolls sheet (to give the guys a confidence boost) or challenge both genders by having the guys answers the questions written for a female audience.

Another popular choice of baby shower games for men is the Mad Lib Nursery Rhyme.

You can play this in several ways but guests have to complete the familiar nursery rhymes by adding in verbs, nouns, and adjectives.

The trick is to let them choose the words without seeing where they go in the prose. The results can be a lot of fun, especially with a big group.

The Love of Competition

Baby JeopardyMen are notoriously competitive usually so choose co-ed games that let them compete. With the following games, you could break up the guests into team for the competition or have a men versus women arrangement to make things more interesting.

Baby Jeopardy works like the famous game show except with baby and parent related categoriesthat both sexes should be able to tackle. Twenty-five different categories are available so you can have plenty of question and answer choices.

If you need an icebreaker that also gets men’s competitive spirits fired up then Baby Outburst might be a good choice. With this game, each team is given a category and a specific amount of time. The team members must shout out words related to that category before time runs out. The team getting the most correct words wins.

Adding baby shower games for men is only the first step in making guys welcome at the shower. Don’t forget to get prizes for the games that will also appeal to men. Chances are they won’t be too excited about bath salts but a gift certificate to a restaurant might do the trick.
